When I was made redundant in 2025 due to a funding crisis at our local Citizens Advice after over a decade of service to my community - initially the thought of setting up in business and charging for things that should be free was not great for me. However, I know that getting forms completed in the local area in a timely manner can be difficult and not everyone wants to call the DWP up for an extension. I want to address that. I also know that I have spent over the last decade learning everything that I can to do these forms and making sure that my knowledge is up to date and the best it can be. I have made hundreds of successful claims for these benefits and accompanied countless people to successful tribunals.

As a mother of children with genetic heart conditions and a husband with one. I have lived experience of claiming these benefits. I know the fear that the envelope can cause and how difficult it can be waiting for a decision. I understand the terror of waiting for a decision and how unfair it can feel when you are not believed. I also knowhow hard it is now that they are changing as well - scoring four or more is going to be difficult for some.

I know that free advice is out there, but it is not always convenient. I want to make sure that anyone making a claim, does so with a good chance of success, not everyone is entitled, which is why I offer half an hour free advice to anyone wanting to talk through their options - with no obligation.

If you are already claiming everything - perhaps you have a review form and need a little extra support - or you are still struggling financially and finding it difficult to navigate what other help might be out there for you?

I know that ideally everyone should have these services for free, but there is a distinct lack of funding in the area for charities to be able to help. I have looked into becoming a charitable organisation, but that would spread the funds locally even thinner. I know that the local Citizens Advice do not always have the capacity to help people at a convenient time to them. We do.

I also know that sometimes people don't know if they can get a benefit - maybe you are still in work, but really struggling with the hours - or not sure if you are currently 'bad' enough to claim. I can help you make that decision and that will be up to half an hour for free. I will only charge if I am completing a form for you.

Perhaps you are too scared to leave your home and being supported by support workers, I may be able to in this case work with you at a place more convenient to you and at a time that suits. You might be better in the evenings or early mornings for example. You might decide that you would rather do your forms over a number of days so that they are not as exhausting. These are simple adjustments for me that I can make because I am a paid service and you are no reliant on coming into the office to see me at a time that might not be convenient for you.

We also know that other people across England and Wales sometimes need support that they can't get locally or affordably - we can support remotely to get forms done, or submissions for appeals written.

We can also support with medical assessments (locally within a 25 mile radius) - or over the telephone giving you the confidence that someone can go with you.
Our approach
We know that filling in a benefits form is scary. We know that getting it wrong - could mean the difference between an award or not and with the recent Government announcement about the potential change to benefits - getting it right is going to be vital.

We also know that sometimes - you don't want to wait when these forms arrive and you need the done before deadline. We will do out best to make sure that always happens, with forms that are filled in with professional, knowledgeable staff, affordable prices at a time to suit you.
